Get info on burner plan for county
ANTI-INCINERATOR campaigners are holding serval meetings across Gloucestershire over the next two months to help inform the public about the potential waste plant at Javelin Park.
Protest group Glosvain has concerns after Gloucestershire County Council signed a contract with Urbaser Balfour Beatty to build and run a mass burner near Junction 12 of the M5, earlier this month.
The group claims the incinerator, that could cost £500million, would be an eyesore and pose a potential health risk to families living near by.
The meetings are at Quedgeley Village Hall on Wednesday, November 7, Gloucester Guildhall on Friday, November 9, Nailsworth Arkell Centre on Tuesday, November 13, Bethesda Church, Cheltenham on Monday, November 26 and Stonehouse Town Hall on Tuesday, December 4. All start at 7.30pm.
