Forty jobs coming to Cheltenham as new Home Bargains store sets to open

Jobs will be created in Cheltenham as the new Home Bargains store opens its doors on Saturday.

The store, which will be at the Golden Valley Retail Park, will be officially opened to shoppers by Cheltenham mayor Colin Hay on March 23 at 8.30am.

The company has invested about £500,000 in its new store in Cheltenham, joining more than 300 across the UK, and will provide 40 jobs.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: "We're excited to be opening our first Cheltenham store and look forward to welcoming customers through the doors."

The 10,000 sq ft store will give Cheltenham shoppers the chance to get their hands on more of the latest bargains, including a great selection of homewares.     “galopede - I too wondered where the Golden Valley Retail Park was. Appears it is where the big B&Q is. Never heard it called that before - guess now that they've built the extra units the name has been created.”

    Where is the Golden Valley Retail Park? Only lived in Cheltenham for 20 years and haven't heard of that one?!! Near Asda is it?”
