10.26am - Police appeal after mysterious fatal accident

 POLICE are investigating the death of a Yorkley man in an unexplained motorbike accident last week.

Mark David Williams, 38, was discovered in a field off the B4235 in Howick, just outside Chepstow, alongside his motorbike on Wednesday last week.  He was declared dead at the scene.

Enquiries have established that Mark was travelling from his home address in Yorkley, Gloucestershire via Chepstow to pick up some building supplies then onto Shirenewton to a job.

Police are treating the death as an unexplained road traffic collision and enquiries are ongoing into the cause.

Anyone with information or who was in the area between 9.45am and 10.00am and may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Gwent Police on 01633 838111 or the Collision investigation Unit 01633 01633 643091.
