Man stabbed in the back

A man was stabbed twice in the back during an incident in Coney Hill, Gloucester.

The alleged attack took place on Monday at around 8.45am.

Police said an altercation took place between one female and three males in Coney Hill Parade.

As a result a 37-year-old man from Gloucester sustained two knife wounds to his back and was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital by ambulance.

Both of the wounds required stitches but he was discharged later that day.

A 16-year-old male from Gloucester has been arrested on suspicion of assault.

He has been bailed pending further enquiries to return to Gloucester Police Station on November 14.
