New site launched for jobseekers

JOBSEEKERS are being reminded finding work can be easy with the launch of a multi-million pound advertising campaign.

The quick and easy to use website searches through 9,000 new vacancies nationally every day, and allows users to upload their CVs for prospective employers to view.

The £15million multimedia advertising campaign stars TV actor Max Beesley, star of Hotel Babylon, and is directed by award-winning director Jeff Stark, the creative force behind Virgin’s adverts.

The promotion starts today and features Max acting as a friend or career mentor, and encouraging the unfulfilled to upload their CV to Jobsite to find a better future.

The website concept is based on three years of research, which reveals most people dislike jobhunting.

Jobsite, which operates in conjunction with Gloucestershire Media, aims to do the hard work for candidates, searching through a minimum of 9,000 new jobs every day to find the right one for them.

With research showing that 14 million people consider moving jobs each year, but only a small percentage actually do so, Jobsite believes the new campaign will help to drive both active and passive jobseekers to the site.

Jobsite boasts the more vacancies in Gloucestershire than any other website and tens of thousands of visitors search its database each month.

Every week, more than 3,000 new positions are posted with major employers like GCHQ and Gloucestershire County Council advertising on the site.

Gloucestershire Media managing director Andrew Blair said: "Gloucestershire Media’s partnership with Jobsite continues to develop rapidly.

"This new marketing campaign builds on our already strong position as the leading provider of recruitment solutions for employers within the county."
