Robbers escape with cash after bank heist
The men, who wore balaclavas, overpowered the guard as he called at the Halifax bank in Tewkesbury High Street.
He was believed to be delivering money for the bank's ATM.
The raiders assaulted the guard at 6.40pm on Monday after jumping out of a car.
They grabbed his cash box and drove off towards Bredon Road.
Their silver Ford Focus was found abandoned in Mitton Way.
Gloucestershire police and the Halifax have declined to say how much money was taken, but they said the guard wasn't badly hurt and it is not thought any weapons were used in the robbery.
Leanne Pope, who works near the bank at Nicholas Hairdressing, came across the scene soon after it happened.
She said: "There were police cars flying down here. The area was cordoned off."
The Halifax declined to comment.
A spokeswoman for G4S Cash Services (UK) said: "We can confirm that one of our couriers suffered minor injuries."
