TV returns to see transformed Jeni

Tuesday, August 05, 2008, 08:00

TWO years ago drab Jeni Ingram was transformed into a diva in Channel 4's 10 Years Younger.

The warts-and-all programme has now revisited the 46-year-old to see if she's slipped back into her old ways or is forging fashionably forward.

All will be revealed at 8pm today.

Jeni, the daughter of Stow-on- the-Wold mayor Tom Morris, will be accosted by Nicky Hambleton-Jones in her former home town.

The presenter will rummage through her wardrobe, dissect her diet and fitness regime and question family, work colleagues and friends.

Game Jeni signed up for a major overhaul with 26 hours of dental surgery to present a new smile to the world, a complete skin peel and plastic surgery.

Her wild locks were coloured and tamed and baggy, dog-walking clothes were styled to perfection.

It paid off when 100 passers-by polled by the programme set her average age at 36 – plummeting from the original 54.

Since the cameras returned, Jeni has moved to New Zealand.

She sold her Stow cottage in Park Street to take a three-year business management degree at Christchurch University.

Dad Tom said: “She's a new person and is getting on with her new life.

“The show helped to transform her.”

The programme will feature Jeni's healthy shopping at Tesco, Stow, swimming at Bourton-on-the-Water Leisure Centre, beauty treatments at Bernard Griffiths hair salon and Enhance, both in Cheltenham, and working at Adrian Clarke's electrical shop at Stow.

Dad and friends give their verdict on her life-change over drinks at Stow's Eagle and Child pub.
