Friday, October 24, 2008, 19:04

TEENAGERS riding a stolen motorbike were causing havoc in Cheltenham this afternoon.

The youths, aged about 16, crashed into a number of parked cars, causing damage to several vehicles.

The police helicopter was called in to search for the youths, who refused to stop for police.

The motorbike was sited several times in the Coronation Square area, sometimes with a single rider, sometimes carrying a passenger.

The bike, a blue Yahama scrambler-type, was stolen from Gloucestershire College in Princess Elizabeth Way between 1pm and 5pm on Thursday.

Anyone with information on the youths should contact Gloucestershire Police on 0845 090 1234.
