My life in Gloucestershire: Brett Riches, Family Services Team Leader at Winston's Wish
What's your favourite Gloucestershire day out?
Probably a day out in The Forest of Dean, especially if barbecuing or cycling is involved.
And your favourite place to eat out in the county?
The Storyteller, as it's a great independent place with a brilliant atmosphere and an unusual menu.

What's the worst job you've ever had?
Working in a factory in a production line. I only lasted three weeks
Have you got any unusual habits?
I always count how many steps I've taken when going up or down stairs.
Who is your hero and why?
When I was a child, He-Man was always my hero. These days, I wouldn't say I have a hero. I do, however, believe there are plenty of everyday people doing heroic things all the time. People who are willing to take a stand about something or those who achieve what others would consider unachievable.
What book are you reading at the moment?
The Red House by Mark Haddon, who is also the author of one of my favourite books The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
What was the last film you watched?
The last movie I saw at the cinema was Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa. Just brilliant.
First single/record you ever bought?
Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini by Bombalurina (aka Timmy Mallet). What a slice of pop gold that was!
Facebook or Twitter?
No thanks, I'm trying to give them up.
