THROUGHOUT JUNE, GLOUCESTER: The films of acclaimed Hollywood movie maker Woody Allen are celebrated in a special month-long retrospective at Gloucester Guildhall.
Fans have the chance to revisit four of his classic works that achieved so much critical acclaim, re-mastered in traditional 35mm glory on the big screen.
Screenwriter, director, actor, comedian, author and playwright, with a plethora of awards and more than 40 films to his name, Woody Allen's career spans more than half a century.
Starting out as a comedy writer in his teens, before the age of 20 he had sold 20,000 jokes to New York newspapers and by 23 he was writing for one of television's biggest comedy stars, Sid Caesar.

By the mid-1960s Allen was writing and directing films, including What's New Pussycat in 1965, before pioneering a new brand of romantic comedy with work such as Annie Hall and Manhattan.
The Oscar-winning Annie Hall will be shown at 10.45am tomorrow and 7.45pm on Wednesday, followed by Manhattan at 2pm on Monday and 7.45pm on Thursday.
