NEXT FRIDAY, CIRENCESTER: Britain's got poetry talent – or so hope the organisers of a competition in Cirencester.

Love Slam Slam poetry combines performance, presentation and public speaking to make poetry dynamic, accessible and fun.

Poets compete to win the votes of the judges – and the appreciation of the audience.

The event takes place at the New Brewery Arts theatre, in Brewery Court, next Friday, February 17, at 8pm.
