​POLICE were called to a mass brawl in Abbeymead last night.

Officers were called to the incident in West Lodge Drive, Gloucester, at around 10pm to reports that around 20 people were fighting in the street.

On arrival they found one man had suffered a minor stab wound and a woman had received a cut to her hand. The man was taken to Cheltenham General Hospital and the woman was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to be treated.

Five men, aged 18, 19, 20, 22 and 28, all from Gloucester, were arrested at or close to the scene on suspicion of public order offences.
