A spokesperson said the company wanted to strengthen its presence in Gloucester city centre, where it already has a travel agency.
He added: "People working in Gloucester and other city centres, have shown they want high quality, good value food that can be consumed immediately.
"Our Food To Go format is designed to satisfy this requirement."
Work has been taking place for a few weeks to transform the former Animal clothing branch on the corner of Eastgate Street.
Kings Walk general manger Peter White hopes the opening will attract other traders.
He said: "We are really happy they are joining the line-up at Kings Walk.
"We hope we can attract additional tenants into the centre on the back of it going in."
The centre has four empty units but Mr White said talks are taking place with interested retailers.
He kept tight-lipped about details but hopes to make an announcement within the next few months.
He said they would also be looking to fill the HMV unit quickly once it has shut.
The branch is due to close soon after the company went into administration in January.

“30 jobs maybe - however like Tesco i assume that they will be 12 hours per week contracts to ensure that they receive the plaudits of fools like Cameron, certain Council leaders, etc etc who will no doubt hail 'the successful launch of another new retail outlet.....' blah blah blah.
So they are not really creating 30 jobs - just taking people off the unemployment register even though for the bulk of the week they will still be unemployed!!!!
Its all b******* & lies to keep central & local Government happy.
What a shame more people cannot see through the falsehoods created by those in power.”

“The problem with the Coop is its high prices. My local Coop charges 57p for a pint of milk, available elsewhere - even at M+S - for 49p.”

“Isn't is a right state when you see '30 jobs' and think 'well, that's pretty damn good!'
Like 30 jobs will sort the 3500 unemployed in Gloucester out”

“Is it going to sell cheap booze to make the usual whingers on here unhappy?”
