“On other topics on this site it says about not driving on the pavement, but from the photo's it appears both the police car and the person taking these photographs are on the pavement.
I dont know that area at all so I could be wrong, and it could just be the angle and timing of the photographs that give that impression!”
“@System64 - there IS a brook behind those houses, it didn't flood there earlier this year and the balance pond has worked as advertised throughout (and they're currently routing floodwater from the road to it although that's not what it's designed for) - the drains at the low point are simply blocked - and yes, I do live there.”
However, This section floods a few times a year, yet they continue to build on it and do NOTHING to try and resolve the problem.
There is a balancing pond next to it and yet they refuse to even allow the flood water to drain into it.
Either they have completely ignored the fact that it floods every year multiple times or someone needs firing for not doing risk assessments correctly.”
“Interesting comments, people - but flooding WILL occur when there is substantial rain fall - fact. Also, reports were taken out by environmental agents to determine risks. You can get hold of those reports to confirm that there is no greater risk at this area than any other in the Gloucester area.”

“@Tahlulah
That may be the case.
