£2.3m garden centre expansion
THE family-Highfield Garden World is investing £2.3million in the business and creating new jobs.
The Whitminster garden centre is expanding its retail space by almost a third from 3,800sqm to around 5,300sqm.
The business, which attracts 10,000 visitors a day, expects turnover increase to £6.5 million.
It employs 90 local people and plans to recruit more once the development is closer to completion this autumn. The business was founded by MD Joan Greenway and opened in 1992.
Sunday and Monday evenings £12.00 per head for an all inclusive meal with Indian and Thai cuisine (normal price £14.50).
