£5k donation helps patients' comfort
PATIENTS in plaster will find their treatment in Stroud more comfortable in future thanks to charity fundraisers in the town.
People receiving care in the minor injuries unit of Stroud General Hospital have its League of Friends to thank for over £5,200 worth of new equipment.
The quiet cast cutter, hydraulic plastering chair, three ergonomic portering chairs and other equipment has all been handed over by the supporters for use by the hospital's NHS staff.
"This supplements and greatly enhances to the care provided," league president Roy Lamb said.
