APPLAUSE: Members of the audience show their support
Dressed in black outfits, they pulled off a range of daring moves.
Members of the audience got to join in the fun by having a go.
There was also a man auction to raise further funds – with more than £800 collected for the hospice.
Organiser Clare Rigby, who runs Zigs Exercise company, said: "It went really well and we were grateful for all the support.
"There was a great atmosphere and some men put themselves forward for a public lesson. It was good fun and a chance to raise money for a good cause."
Pole dancing is growing in popularity and there has even been a campaign to get it included as an event at the 2016 Olympics.
"People forget it's a gymnastic art form," added Clare. "It is becoming really popular because it's fun as well as being great for your fitness.
"It's good for your upper body strength and, because it's a dance routine, you also get a cardiovascular workout.
"It's certainly more exciting than going on a treadmill."
Zigs will be hosting another pole dancing show tomorrow at the Maxima Forum, from 7pm.
