“ If you like your 'real' ciders or ales and you haven't been to the Jolly Brew then you haven't lived!!! Brilliant pub, very relaxed, proper pub nibbles and they were doing BBQ's on a Friday night (burgers looked homemade and were out of this world). It was a bit of mare to find the first time but now we know where it is, it remains as the pub of choice on a nice sunny Friday evening after work. (my only 5* pub review - and I like my pubs!) Oh - almost forgot.... they also have a Cider festival in the summer, though I can't remember when. Suppose you will have to pop in to find out ;) ”

The Jolly Brewmaster in Cheltenham is one of the most popular traditional pubs in Gloucestershire, particularly among fans of real ale and proper cider.
Located in the Montpelier district of Cheltenham on a residential street, the Jolly Brewmaster offers real home cooked food that is streets ahead of bland chain-pub fare. With a large and usually very busy beer garden and characteristically offbeat sense of interior design, this Cheltenham pub is well worth a trip off the beaten track.
The Jolly Brewmaster has a fantastic cider festival every summer, where you can sample some of Gloucestershire’s finest in one of the best pubs in Cheltenham.

“This is a hidden gem, although a lot of people know about it!
Real ales, guest ales, my favourite rose, great beer garden, just out of town, friendly staff!

“Then pop down to the Jolly Brewmaster. It has all of the appeal of a town pub, with the added bonus of being out of the way. It has great drinks on tap (inc. a good selection of real ales,) quality service and the sort of beer garden you can only dream about.
