“ Sliced joint from a catering pack - without a doubt. Meal dried up, gravy congealed at edges, because kept on hot shelf for too long. Vegetables sliced by machine somewhere a hundred miles away. Poor. ”

“If you want to impress someone then try this place. It isn't expensive so impressing them won't mean re-mortgaging, but the experience is second to none in my opinion. It's off the beaten track in Edge, as the name suggests, but it's worth the drive. The views from the building are great and in the summer you can eat outdoors; not so suitable for this weather though, but luckily the indoors is great too. The service is fast and professional and they know the menu well enough to advise you if you find yourself stuck for a choice. The menu itself is pretty traditional, but very well cooked and the food is generally locally sourced so it tastes fresh and good quality. I'm always very impressed with everything about this place and would happily recommend it to anyone. ”
