Schoolgirl hit twice by cars on School Road, Quedgeley
SCHOOLGIRL Gabrielle Gardner has been knocked down twice on the same road – and on Friday another teenage girl was hit by a car at the same location.
Now Gabrielle's mother Rachael is calling for action on the dangerous stretch at School Lane, in Quedgeley.
In the latest incident, a schoolgirl was struck by a car outside Severn Vale School at 8.20am on Thursday – at the same spot where Gabrielle was knocked down in September.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics for an injury to her knee.

Gabrielle, 14, was being walked to school with her mother when the accident happened.
Rachael said: "We need something to happen on this road urgently. I don't want it to take someone's death to see action. I am walking to and from the school every day with Gabrielle now. I know she should be able to do this by herself but I just don't trust the cars."
The incident brought back painful memories of last year, when Gabrielle was struck by an off-duty paramedic. She suffered a broken collar bone, concussion and a gash in her head.
Just two years earlier she was hit around the corner in Field Court Drive and was left with head injuries and a fractured leg.
She has suffered fits since then – and there were fears that Thursday's incident would spark another seizure.
Rachael said: "It really shook us up. The stress can trigger the epilepsy again so we were very worried."
Peter Rowland, head teacher of Severn Vale School, recently introduced a road safety action plan.
Quedgeley's county councillor Jackie Hall has vowed to fast-track planned safety improvements for the stretch of road.
She ordered new road markings and signs to warn drivers that the area is a school zone weeks ago. She said: "Hopefully these safety measures will go some way in addressing this situation."
