SOLICITORS will swap their desks for the great outdoors when they take on the Cheltenham Triathlon.

Three staff from Nick Hutchinson & Co, in Rodney Road in the town, are gearing up for the annual sporting event at Sandford Park Lido on September 12.

They will swim 500 metres in the outdoor pool, cycle 15 km up to Woodmancote and then run for 2.7km around the pool's grounds.

The triathlon raises money for the Lido, a registered charity, and the Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (CLIC) at Cheltenham General Hospital.

But the solicitors are also hoping to raise cash for another charity. Nick Hutchinson said: "Our team is also raising money for DRIP, which is a charity which builds wells and water storage systems to provide irrigation water for villages in Uganda to help local people grow desperately needed food."
