It's time for consistency – Cheltenham Town skipper
MICHAEL Townsend says consistency is now the key as Cheltenham Town bid to distance themselves from the Football League's trap door.
The central defender was installed as captain since Mark Yates took over as manager.

He produced a resolute display to help his side shut out second placed Bournemouth on Saturday, when they claimed a goalless draw at Dean Court.
Cheltenham return to action with a home match against Burton Albion this evening, chasing only their third home victory of the campaign.
"Bournemouth might have expected us to roll over, but we spoiled their party and it was a bonus point really," Townsend said.
"We have already beaten Rochdale and Bury away, but we need to add consistency .
"That's why Bournemouth are second in the league and we are near the bottom."
Townsend has scored three goals this season, and has called for more goals throughout the team as the shot-shy Robins bid to increase their firepower having rediscovered their defensive solidarity.
"It's a team effort and we need more goals all over the park," he said.

“Congratulations Bryn (Glos) on what has to be one of the most pessimistic and inane comments I've yet to encounter on this website.
Townsend is working damned hard for the club and is developing into a superb captain.
What's more I think probably even Dave Bird himself would admit that Townsend's game has seen a market improvement since he has been given the responsibility of captaincy.
I like Dave Bird but a change was needed. After so much rubbish under the 'Allen regime' the squad was weary and disorientated. A change of captain was a positive first move and Towner has stepped up very well indeed.
Mark is doing a good job.
He's already instilling some stability at the club: players are becoming more confident and settled within their respective roles.
Allen = 40/50 loan players through the doors > everyone confused > the entire squad unsettled > no stability > sponsored bike rides and a competition for a fan to give a motivational speech to the players (at half time!)
Utter b/s.
The players are professional people and I imagine many were embarrassed by these gimmicks.
Even if we do go no where under Mark Yates, at least the fans (and players) wont be quite so brutally patronised along the way.
Regards.”

“Sorry Bryn - Birdy's too quiet to be a captain - and he's also been not up to his best for a lot of the season. Towner lets the others know when they do things Right + Wrong. He's been my player of the season so far.”

“He should have never been made Captain in the first place. Budgie was doing an outstanding job. Yates is not somebody that is going to bring the club any kind of success.”
