Have your say on planning matters, urges council.
PEOPLE in Tewkesbury borough can have their say in planning matters, according to council bosses.
The borough council has published a draft version of its Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), which identifies how the council will invite participation in planning matters, including local plans and applications for planning permission.
The draft document will be available for comment from January 28 to 25 March 25.
Councillor Derek Davies, the council's lead member for built environment, said: "Planning decisions can have a huge impact on our communities as they can range from household extensions through to the regeneration of a town centre.

Comments can be emailed to localplanconsultation@tewkesbury.gov.uk. They must state the paragraph or part of the SCI being referred to.
Copies of it are available on the council website (www.tewkesbury.gov.uk). It can also be viewed in the borough's advice centres, public libraries and at the main council offices in Gloucester Road, Tewkesbury, during office hours.

“This is all a bit pointless after Eric Pickles has announced plans to "simplify" the local planning process by fast tracking developments and weakening the councils powers to object.”

“stop developers submitting plans for 5000 houses when they want 2000 so you agree 3000 when 150 would be really about the right figure! and being hoodwincked into making ridiclous decisons that you cant afford to appeal anyway.
STOP THE ROT and can we have some brave and decisive leadership please?”
