Have you seen our Buddha? Three-foot statue disappears from outside Gloucester shop
HAVE you seen our Buddha?
That's the question being asked by a Gloucester antique centre and flea market after their three-foot Buddha statue went missing.
It disappeared from outside Fab and Faded, in Longsmith Street, last Monday.
Shop owner Dudley Taylor said: "It was the focal point of the store, so anybody that came to the shop or walked past it could remember it with the Buddha outside it.

"I think it went just before I closed the shop at 5pm. I always bring it in before I close but on that night, I can't remember if I forgot to bring it or it was taken.
"I assume the person who has taken it has done it for a laugh and it is probably sitting in someone's garden."
Dudley is urging anyone who has seen the statue to bring it back to shop or take it to the police.
It is a white statue of a seated Buddha with his hands touching and open. The owner describes it as an Asian type Buddha rather than then the Chinese type.
It was reported police, who confirmed they believed it was stolen between 4.30pm last Monday and the following morning.
Fab and Faded, which opened last June, sells a range of antiques, including jewellery, painted furniture, china, clothing and much more.
Customers can also enjoy coffee and treats in the cafe.
They have also been dancing to the music of a new 70s jukebox which has recently arrived.
A collection tin has been placed next to the juke box with all proceeds donated to Maggie's cancer charity.
People can also rent space from Dudley to sell their own items.
At present, a total of 40 dealers operate from the centre.
Anyone that has seen the Buddha or has any information can contact Gloucestershire police on 101, quoting incident 122 March 5.
