Lamb is missing - lost somewhere between Bottelino's and Thomas Cook's on Friday afternoon. He is a well-loved soft toy - more like a rabbit than a lamb, rather grubby & shapeless - and is very much missed by his lifelong friend 3-year old Saskia.

If anyone has rescued him, please call 07884301242 and make a little girl happy again.

“Could have been a lot worse you know ! The child falling out of the pushchair and only Lamb making it home. We must be grateful. {HAW HAW}”

“So, we're talking about Cheltenham, around the top end of the High Street?”

“Poor Douglas lost his lambsy about 5 years ago and he still looks round the garden for him today. It has always been a mystery where he got to and although he now has Gus I can tell he still misses Lambsy to this day :o(”

“Ah, well, I suppose you could always alternate them so they get to smell and look the same. It's a wonder we ever survive with all those "germs" and things we're supposed to pick up from the garden or anywhere remotely "dirty". Health & Safety is a funny thing. I took a perfectly clean, hardly used high chair with tray (the sort you strap to a dining chair) to a charity shop but they said they couldn't take any baby items because of H&S. Now, this high chair had been regularly cleaned and was probably much more "sterile" than all the soft toys that were frothing out of a basket by the counter. I wonder if all those toys had been washed before they were donated and put on display?

Hope Saskia gets the toy back soon.”

“spindles12, you wouldn't get away with that, kids are as sharp as razors, the duplicate wouldn't have half the garden and several months worth of dinners on it. It just wouldn't ... er ... smell the same !!”

“I suppose the sensible thing to do when buying a child a soft toy is to buy two, one for the child and the other to put away in case the other one gets lost.”

“Poor Saskia, my daughter had a similar grubby soft toy, which went everywhere with her at that age. She left it on the bus one day and was pretty upset. My dad had to drive over to cheltenham bus station to collect it. I still have it now, and its still grubby. Lets hope Saskia is soon reunited with Lamb.”

“Ah, penny's dropped. Soft toy {AHEM}. What confused his lordship is this appeal for help was apparently post by a cat...”
