Desperate owners are calling for help to find their lost puppy.

Ollie, a seven month old male Chiahuahua, ran away from his owners on Selsley Common, near Stroud at about 5.30pm on Saturday, March 13.

He was spotted at 6.45pm heading down Woodchester Hill and onto Park Lawn Estate and into a garden, leading to fields.

Ollie is a very small dog, with short beige fur. He is chipped and was wearing a distinguishable necklace seen in the photo.

He is not familiar with the area and comes from Burnham-on-Sea. Anyone who may have seen him should call Katie on 07879 417072.

“So very sad to hear about Ollie. He must have been very dear to you. I hope his death was without too much pain.”

“Sorry to hear the bad news, I may have made an earlier flippant comment but am an ex dog owner myself and a big animal lover so I know that the owners must feel awful.”

“Unfortunately, despite all of our searching, Ollie was found dead today and as you can imagine we are absolutely devasted. I want to say big thank you to everyone who so kindly gave up their time to search for Ollie and for this website who were able to make people aware that our little puppy was missing.”

“JK: You are right - I have never had a pet so my comments were unkind for which I apologise - I hope the pet is found well and returned to its owner. However, I assume pets of all types are regularly lost and my question is whether this website is the place to post missing pet information.”

“Well why don't you go back to London then .You have obviously never lost a pet and have no compassion. Get a life. I went out looking for the dog yesterday and so are others. A little niceness goes along way. You should be ashamed of yourselves, being so nasty and you aren't funny either.”

“Clearly not much goes on in Stroud if this is big news - I moved here from London where pets were kidnapped and sold on the black market (or eaten) rather than lost.”

“Probably been eaten by someone's kitten or snatched by a low flying sparrow!”
