Have you seen rogue HGV's in Brockworth?
A LORRY watch scheme has been started in Brockworth.
The idea was first suggested at a parish council meeting after concerns were raised about some vehicles that were driving through the village.
The scheme has now been set up and the council is looking for residents to help take part in the scheme and to report any HGVs cutting through Brockworth.
Details needed are the date and time of each occurrence, the number plate of the vehicle, any name or branding on the cab and trailer and the size and type of vehicle.

“i know i was between Eastgate street and brunswick Rd the other day and a lorry came tanking past me, and i thought truck drivers must be in short supply and company's are hiring maniacs instead and gluing there hands to the steering wheel and putting bricks on the accelerators its ridiculous!!!”

“Talke - there's nothing unsafe about driving between Eastgate Street and Brunswick Road; taxis and busses do it all the time. Stopping ordinary traffic from doing so is discrimination, pure and simple, as are any trendy schemes giving priority to those vehicles (the ridiculous or right turn at the bottom of Southgate Street being a prime example).”

“I don't know about rogue lorries in Brockworth, but when are the council going to do anything about the rogue lorries and cars travelling between Eastgate Street and Brunswick road? There are no entry signs at both ends between the turning into the car park and Argos but nothing is actually done to stop illegal traffic there.”
