Those wanting snow to fall may be disappointed in Cheltenham today.

Forecasters predict the weather should remain above freezing, at around 3C throughout the day with glimpses of sunshine.

Overnight the weather could begin to plummet with a cold start to Thursday.

Rains could come in tomorrow evening as the sunshine subsides.

“Matt1006 Scandinavia / Eastern Europe are prepared for it whereas we as a country aren't. I also wonder if they close the schools in Scandinavia / Eastern Europe due to some snow or because they're used to it they keep the schools open.”

“valhalla2010 - quarter of an inch? Doesn't usually need that much.

I see there's been disruption at some UK airports (particularly Stansted) due to snow. What happens throughout Scandinavia / Eastern Europe / Northern Asia during their winters...??? This country really is hopeless at times.”
