Gloucester out for revenge
Bashley's 2-0 win over the Tigers in March made all the difference as they sneaked into the top five by one point over Tim Harris' side.
New manager David Mehew recalled Gloucester's meetings with the Hampshire side and he accepted the better team won that crunch match.
"We played well early in the season when we got a 0-0 draw at their place," he said. "But they were more streetwise when they came to us and got the points which made all the difference.
"I know they've lost a couple of players and had some strange results so far this year, but I still think they'll be there or thereabouts at the end of this season."
Gloucester, the British Gas Business League Premier's leading scorers, are one of only two unbeaten teams left in the division, along with leaders Farnborough.
And Mehew was delighted to see his side end a run of three successive 2-2 draws by beating previous leaders Yate 2-0 on Saturday.
"I'm very happy that we've still not been beaten and a couple more results like that could turn those draws into good draws," he added.
"Yate have been a bit of a bogey team for us and in the two years I've been at Gloucester we haven't beaten them in the league, so I'm glad we've laid that to rest.
"Bearing in mind their current form, it was a very good win and the clean sheet was nice after the chat we had in training last Thursday."
With 17 players fit, James Reid will miss out once again when the Bash visit Gloucester's temporary home looking for a third successive league win.
Jack Pitcher has a slight thigh strain, but is still expected to play, while Sam Ellis will be included in tonight's squad and Saturday's trip to Farnborough before leaving for university.
