Murray set for Robins debut
The Bristol City right winger became Martin Allen's first signing – the one-month emergency loan agreed minutes after the new boss was introduced to the media gathered at Whaddon Road yesterday.
Aberdeen-born Murray, 34, started his career with Fraserburgh before joining Aston Villa in 1994 for £35,000. He made four Premier League appearances before joining Bristol City for £150,000 in 1997.
Murray won promotion to the Championship with City under John Ward's management in 1998.
He scored 27 goals during the 2002-03 season and a £650,000 move to Reading followed, but he returned in March 2004. A hugely popular figure with the fans at Ashton Gate, he signed a new one-year deal with City this summer.
Meanwhile, Jennison Myrie- Williams has returned to Bristol City and is set to link up with ex-Robins boss John Ward's Carlisle.
