Afful makes Truro switch
Afful was one of a host of players not offered a contract by Rovers at the end of last season, despite being a regular in Jim Harvey's squad.
The diminutive 25-year-old striker or wide man made 28 appearances for Rovers last term, helping the club to secure their position in the Blue Square Premier for another season.
After not being offered terms by Rovers, Afful has put pen-to-paper with Truro, who achieved their fifth successive promotion last term.
The Tinmen are now in the BGB Southern League Premier after walking away with the South and West Division title.
Under chairman Kevin Heaney, Truro have progressed from the Cornish Combination through to the Southern League Premier in record time.
The signing of Afful is an indication that manager Sean McCarthy is eager to add proven quality to their squad for their Southern League Premier campaign.
"He (Afful) is a very quick player and will cause defenders a lot of problems and will be a good addition to our squad," said McCarthy.
Afful is the latest of Rovers' 2008/9 squad to depart the club.
Last week experienced defender Darren Jones revealed that he had left the club, with League Two club Hereford United his likely destination.
Fellow Welshman Lee Fowler also seems set to leave the New Lawn, with Kettering Town believed to be interested in acquiring the combative midfielder.
Rovers have offered contracts to six members of their 2008/9 squard, all of whom are under the age of 22.
Conference golden boot winner Andy Mangan, player of the year Paul Stonehouse and midfielder Jonathan Smith head the list of those offered new deals.,
Defenders Mark Preece and Ben Ashford along with attacking midfielder Conal Platt have also been offered terms.
