SEAMER Gemaal Hussain makes his first class debut for Gloucestershire in the LV County Championship Division two game with Kent at Beckenham.

The giant 25-year-old pace man has replaced Zimbabwean Anthony Ireland in a four pronged pace attack.

Skipper Alex Gidman, who returns to the side in place of Chris Taylor, resisted the opportunity to play two spinners.

Richard Dawson was in contention to make his first Championshio start of the season alongside Vikram Banerjee, but Hussain got the nod.

Gidman lost the toss and Kent counterpart Robert Key elected to bat first.

Gloucestershire: W. Porterfield, Kadeer Ali, H. Marshall, A. Gidman, C. Spearman, J. Franklin, S. Snell, J. Lewis, S. Kirby, G. Hussain, V. Banerjee.
