JOHN GALLAGHER reported Mac Gille Eoin to be in sparkling form following his record-breaking win at Epsom.

Less than 12 hours after his thrilling victory under Jim Crowley, the star sprinter was bucking and kicking yesterday morning at Gallagher's stables in Chastleton

Mac Gille Eoin broke the six-furlong track record after getting the better of a prolonged duel with Noble Citizen.

Gallagher will give him a week off and then bring him back in preparation for the bluesquare.com Stewards' Cup at Glorious Goodwood on August 1, for which he is a 20-1 shot.

"I told Jim to just jump and go at Epsom, but if anyone else wanted to go crazy to sit in second and take a lead," said Gallagher.

"He was headed a couple of times and I was pleased with the way he battled back, but he does only as much as he has to and probably had more in the tank."

Gallagher's top mare Pusey Street Lady is set to run in a Group Three race at York on Friday.
