We must not fear champions – Redpath
The Cherry and Whites have lost their last five consecutive competitive matches in all competitions and have not won since beating Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday October 9.
While the defending champions have had a quiet start to the season, they still hold a slight mental edge as they have won three out of the last five trips to Gloucester.
But Redpath wants his players to embrace the task facing them and rise to the challenge.
"I would not say it is a daunting prospect, I would say it is a great challenge," said Redpath.
"We need to be very positive in how we go about it. We respect them for what they are and we have to go out with no fear because that is a big thing."
The Tigers' pack has often been a big weapon in their armoury and it will be boosted by returning England internationals Jordan Crane, George Chuter and Ben Kay.
But Gloucester boss Redpath says his side can not concentrate all their efforts on the battle up front as their opponents are equally as dangerous behind the scrum.
"There is always a bit of a battle towards Leicester and we are aware of their strengths but they have not got a bad back line," he added.
"Jeremy Staunton is playing well at 10 and they also have Anthony Allen, Aaron Mauger and Scott Hamilton and now they have signed Lote Tuqiri.
"They have improved their running game. It is better than it has been in the past.
"I think the conditions on Friday do not look to be the best so that could have a part to play."
Tickets are still available for the game, which kicks off at 7.45pm, in all areas of the stadium.
Prices start from £11 for Juniors and £23 for Adults Standing in the Shed or West terrace and £13 for Juniors and £26 for Adults in the seated areas.
