A teenager was left with facial injuries after she was attacked in town

A SHOPPER had to intervene, when a 15 - year - old girl from Cinderford, was assaulted by a group of offenders in Gloucester town this morning.

The offender pulled the victim's hair and kneed her causing facial injuries, at 8.30am, near Sports Direct on Northgate Street.

Police are appealing for more information and are particularly keen to talk to the member of the public who broke up the incident.

Anyone with information should contact the police on 101, quoting incident 147 of February 28 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
