Still time to apply for funds to promote Cheltenham
GROUPS can still bid for council cash which could help bring hundreds of visitors to the town.
Organisations have until June 29 to apply for a share of the £156,500 grant as part of the Promoting Cheltenham Fund. The money is earmarked for projects which will boost the economy and bring in tourists from around the world.
Councillor Steve Jordan, leader of the council, said: "Our first round of funding from the Promoting Cheltenham Fund was very successful and we were pleased to be able to support so many interesting projects such as the new Cheltenham Design Festival, Cheltenham Poetry Festival, and the Fashion and Beauty event.
"I really would urge businesses and organisations to make their applications now and secure funding to bring forward new and exciting projects for the town.
