We're all tripping the lights fantastic
PANTO stars including Tweedy the Clown will be creating mischief at the Bath Road Christmas parade and lights switch-on in Cheltenham tonight.
Carol singing, live music and mulled wine are all lined up to entertain families from 5.30pm, plus a treasure hunt with the first prize of a family ticket to see Dick Whittington at the Everyman Theatre.
Festivities open at The Brewery tomorrow at 4.30pm, with live music and dance and The Rock Choir, who will be performing a range of pop covers and a Christmas medley.
The parade starts at Beechwood Shopping Centre at 5.15pm and finishes at The Brewery at 6.10pm, just in time to see Santa switch on the lights.
Sunday and Monday evenings £12.00 per head for an all inclusive meal with Indian and Thai cuisine (normal price £14.50).

Rock and pop cover band, The Chip Shop Boys will be carrying on the party through till 7pm.
Entertainment will follow every Saturday leading up to Christmas including a rodeo reindeer, handbell ringers and appearances from the Beechwood Bear.
At Gloucester Quays the Victorian Christmas Market runs from today until Sunday.
Visitors can browse 140 stalls selling handmade gifts and the best regional food and drink.
Entertainment comes from brass bands, choirs, buskers and an old time barrel organ, alongside a traditional carousel, children's art and craft activities, Victorian games, a real ale tavern and a micro brewery.
Tewkesbury's Festival of Christmas Lights on Sunday features a farmers' market, market stalls, fairground rides and a magical visit from Santa who will be hoisted into the air over the crowds to turn on the Christmas lights at 4.30pm.
The event runs from 1.30pm to 6.30pm and the High Street will be closed to traffic.
Over in Newent, Olympic gold medallists Charlotte Dujardin and Carl Hester will be turning on the lights, during an afternoon of festive fun running from 3pm.
