You've gotta have Faith in the Big Feastival
AFTER a summer of downpours, anyone heading for the Big Feastival this weekend could be forgiven for feeling a little pessimistic about the weather.
But according to festival host and former Blur bassist Alex James, the event at his farm takes place on his wife's birthday and it has never rained on that day before.
"The line-up is looking amazing but the most important thing is that the weather is looking good," Alex said.
Thousands will descend on his farm near Kingham as tickets for the weekend are selling fast.

The Big Feastival is the brainchild of celebrity chef Jamie Oliver and is a showcase for local producers and chefs with loads of top music.
As well as Jamie cooking, there will be demonstrations from Valentine Warner, Mark Hix and Gennaro Contaldo along with others.
You can tuck into food from The Cinnamon Club and Jamie's Italian as well as paella, gourmet burgers and veggie street food.
Paloma Faith headlines the festival and she's sharing play time with the likes of Noisettes, Gaz Coombes, Producers, Razorlight and Texas.
The Big Feastival has moved from Clapham Common, where it was held last year, and among all the fun there is a serious note as it raises money good causes, including Jamie's Better Food Foundation.
It's the perfect event for Alex as it combines live music with food – both passions for the man who still performs with Blur and makes artisan cheese on his farm.
"Music and food are my two great loves," he said. "I spent my 20s in a band but since I got married I still do music but I think about cheese quite a lot."
Alex will run cheese tastings at the event as well as launching his latest offering – Goddess – which is made with Guernsey milk.
As both Alex and Jamie have big families, there is plenty to keep families and children occupied during the festival.
Youngsters can flip between Peppa Pig, face painting, and a fun fair, to the music bus and lots of workshops and craft stalls.
An artisan market offers meats and cheeses, beers, wine and fruit cordials, with the emphasis on local produce.
