A visit to specialist college impression on the workers
Smiths has undertaken £10,000 worth of construction at the National Star College, near Cheltenham.
The college, located in Ullenwood, is the company's chosen charity this year and work at the site has included clearance and levelling work in preparation for a new construction project there.
Smiths managing director Alan Smith and company secretary Pam Broomfield said they had been "very impressed" by its work and by the dedication of the staff there after a visit earlier this year.
Pam said: "Alan and I are extremely pleased to be involved with helping the National Star College.

"Our visit opened our eyes to the wonderful work carried out at Ullenwood and we wanted to offer our support and assistance in the most appropriate way."
Their intention is to get involved in the development of the college and to raise as much money as possible before the end of this year.
Plans and ideas for raising money at Smiths are well under-way and include bike rides, a skydive, a clay shoot and a charity rugby match.
Laura Brookes, of the National Star College, said: "We are delighted that Smiths has chosen National Star College as their partner charity for such a meaningful year and I look forward to working together on various events and activities to help this terrific milestone for Smiths make a big difference to the students at National Star."
Smiths will also assist with the development of the college grounds, putting its expertise in construction and plant resources to good use.
The company is assisting with levelling land in preparation for the creation of a new set of camping pods, which will be used by students.
This recent work is an example of Smiths' commitment to the Gloucestershire community and over its 30 years in business, staff have taken part in fundraisers and set up sports teams in the county.
Other community projects have included the financial, professional and physical assistance of a village hall in Eastington, where its headquarters are based. It has also given the same support to Dursley Rugby Football Club in purchasing and developing land for the rugby club's new pitch.
