Cheltenham Saracens 34 Old Colstonions 30
NOT for the first time this season Saracens started slowly in Gloucester One and were 7-0 down early on.
A penalty by Brad Harris reduced the deficit and they went ahead when quick-stepping wing Wayne Smallman skipped through the opposition with ease.
Saracens added a second try through the impressive Kristian Williams, converted by Harris, but Colstonians hit back to leave it 15-15 at half-time.

Number eight and man-of-the-match Tom Patience picked up from the base of a scrum to stretch over the line, converted by Harris to put Saracens in front again, but back came Colstonians with a converted try under the posts.
Scott Rowe then grounded the ball over the line and a Colstonians player was sent to the sin bin.
With Colstonians wary of the strength of the home forwards, they overcommitted to the maul, leaving the blindside undefended for Matt Kelly to jog over the line unimpeded.
The Bristol side completed the scoring with a penalty and a try in the closing minutes, but it was not quite enough.
Cheltenham Saracens II 9 Old Patesians III 15
YET again Saracens were unable to get the better of their local rivals although this was the first time the teams had met in Gloucestershire Reserves Leagues North One.
Saracens were up against bigger opponents but with Kyle Thomas and Tom Mitchell prominent they went 6-0 ahead with two penalties by new player John Crowford.
Old Pats rallied and two tries, one converted, gave them a 12-6 advantage at the break.
Saracens were under pressure after the break but they showed tremendous resilience to stay in touch with their opponents.
Superb runs from the likes of Paul Grayson, Tom Phillips and man-of-the-match Andy Lewis kept the Saracens in the hunt but they were unable to find the decisive try.
