Eight-year-old becomes youngest wing-walker
Eight-year-old Tiger Brewer has flown into the record books as the world’s youngest wing-walker.
The grandson of Vic Norman, leader and owner of Team Guinot - the world’s only formation wing-walking team - took to the skies above Gloucestershire today in a bid to enter the Guinness Book of Records.

Tiger Brewer
Tiger was strapped to the wing of a Boeing Stearman bi-plane piloted by his granddad at Rendcomb airfield, near Cirencester.
"It was quite scary but once I was up there it was really really good," he said.
"The view was amazing, everything looked so small I could see everyone below but couldn't make out who was who.
"I want to do it again now. It really was amazing. The only thing that hurt was the windburn, but apart from that I loved it."
The current record was set by 11-year-old Guy Mason - son of Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason – in 2001.

“What a fantastic experience for the young lad. He will have been perfectly safe - they have Health and Safety for aeroplanes too, you know and it's not likely his family will have done anything unsafe. Some people enjoy living on the edge rather than sitting on their sofas and doing nothing with their lives. Dear God, is there nothing you people won't whinge about?!”

“it's no more irresponsible or reckless than letting 8 year olds wander the streets after dark. If he wanted to do it good luck to him, it's the spirit of adventure which made Britain great - not as some may seem to sit in front of an X box all summer holidays. Nanny state UK is worth reclaiming from the social misfits after all. well done tiger.”

“Well done Tiger!!!! What a fantastic adventure.
It is refreshing to hear of a family that is supporting there child to take calculated risks. The need for risk, adventure and consiquence are paramount in a childs development and sadly lacking in today's Health and Safety mad world. People are doing their children an injustice by not allowing them to take real risks and make real decisions.
I would think wing walking is probibily less likely to cause injury than climbing a tree anyway.
Children need adventure, be it visits to souks and bazars in far off lands, sleeping under the stars in the desert or on a remote beach, traveling down little used tracks in the mountains or indeed wing walking. As long as it's supervised by an adult it's a good thing!
Making children live a sedentry lifestyle, just sitting indoors and not having any adventure or risk because they may break an arm or cut their knee or get a bug is not giving them the chance to become the next D H Lawrence, Fridtjof Nansen or Bear Grylls.
Long live the spirit of adventure, and I hope you enjoy many more Tiger!!!”

“Is this just me or does this just seem likesome kind of irresponsible behaviour ? Possibly even abuse or neglect for a child's welfare ? I realise that the child wantedto do it and that the family have every faith in the pilot but what planet are they on.?
How come you need a health and safety certificate to work up a ladder yet it's okay to stick an 8 year old on top of an aeroplane?”
